Great is Thy Faithfulness

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided

Summer and winter and spring-time and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above

To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

As my life has developed severe trials over the last twenty-four hours, and what seems so
safe is suddenly shaken, I was reminded of the great faithfulness of the Lord. All that happens is in His hands, and we are the better for it (although we often don' t think so). This is a lesson that has been made clear to me, even in life's most frightening times. Lord, may I be able to praise your faithfulness, no matter what the outcome of any situation is!
